Voices of Justice: honouring William Cooper at NAIDOC 2025

Famous Aboriginal singer, artist, didjeridoo player and edutainer Dr David Hudson spoke about William Cooper, the father of NAIDOC, at a NAIDOC event hosted by Barbara and Norman. David played the didjeridoo at the official ceremony for the Be’er-Sheva centenary in Israel in 2017. Rabbi Ari Rubin from Chabad also spoke.

The evening was the first launch of the Schools Antisemitism Education Project that Barbara has been working on with curriculum writer Shoshana Linnane, with Norman Miller as MC, a short video, and refreshments. The project is planned to be launched in capital cities around Australia as meetings with education authorities progress.
